About Langlio

Langlio is a daily language guessing game with new languages every day. Every day, a new sentence is released, and it is your job to guess what language it is and where that language is from. After guessing correctly, you can pat yourself on the back, knowing you are more worldly than all of your friends. Still not convinced? Make sure to send them the game to see who is smarter.

Our Story

Langlio.io was created by two friends, Michael Karapetian and Jose Rivas. Michael was telling Jose about these really fun daily games he played all the time, and suddenly, an idea was born. Both friends are multilingual, world travelers, and love learning about the world. It was almost an obvious choice to build a game based on guessing languages.

Jose Rivas, known worldwide as El Salsero, a world traveler, and a damn good arepas maker. From Venezuela and living in the US, he is officially from nowhere, but everywhere at the same time. You can find him on the dance floor asking anyone and everyone to dance salsa with him. He speaks Spanish, English, and is learning French.

Michael Karapetian is an activist and a passionate Ukulele player. A lover of the outdoors, nature, and new cultures, you can usually find Michael exploring a country that no one has ever heard of before. He speaks English, Spanish, and enough Armenian to impress everyone but another Armenian. He recently picked up MMA and spends his free time willingly getting punched in the face.

How It Works

Langlio presents players with sentences in various languages and challenges them to:

• Guess the Language: Identify which language the sentence is written in
• Discover Countries: Learn which countries speak that language
• Expand Knowledge: Build awareness of global linguistic diversity
